(SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan.) — Should there be a tornado warning in Sedgwick County this weekend, all 153 sirens will sound, just like they have for years.

The county is not finished upgrading to a system that sets off sirens in specific areas. The county hopes to be finished with the million dollar project in the next few weeks.

As always, sirens are warning devices are aimed at people outdoors and not those in houses.
