A few thunderstorms are still possible along and to the east of Wichita this evening. A strong to severe storm is possible, with some hail up to quarter size and winds up to 60 mph possible east of the Turnpike. Some other areas of rain showers are possible in the west overnight as lows drop to the 40s.
Look for a breezy and much cooler day on Friday. Clouds will break up in the west while remaining stubborn over eastern Kansas. Highs will reach the lower to middle 60s tomorrow over the majority of the state.
Saturday morning will start off chilly with an area of high pressure overhead. We'll see a gradual warming trend this weekend. lasting into the middle of next week.
