(WICHITA, Kan.) — Spirit AeroSystems announced Wednesday that "for this week, employees will be paid per their normal schedule, as if they were normal workdays. Previous information regarding timekeeping issues/directions may be disregarded."
Previously, Spirit told employees they would have to use vacation days or sick leave to be paid for the days the company did not call people into work due to storm damage.
The aviation company also said Wednesday that its is goal to bring its Wichita workforce back on Monday, April 23, to restart production.
“We are committed to doing what we have to do to bring our factory up and running by Monday,” said Spirit AeroSystems President and CEO Jeff Turner.
