April 26, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

Scattered storms developing in eastern Colorado and New Mexico will move through Kansas overnight with a potential of hail and some stronger wind gusts from time to time. The best chance for storms will be in central and northern Kansas later in the night.

Lows will be very mild with readings in the upper 50s and low 60s.

On Friday, scattered storms could be around in the morning with dry weather and some sunshine in the afternoon. It will be a very windy day on Friday with gusts over 40 mph likely. A wind advisory has been issued for much of western Kansas, anticipating the strong gusts from time to time.

Cooler weather is on tap for the weekend with highs in the 60s and low 70s.
