April 29, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

Thunderstorms remain in the forecast overnight and throughout the day on Monday. Storms will be capable of quarter size hail and brief gusty winds, but tornadoes are not likely.

Expect the storms overnight to remain scattered across the state, with northern Kansas the least likely area to experience rain. Temperatures will drop into the mid and upper 50s for lows.

Scattered storms will be around Monday morning and afternoon, and some of the storms will again be capable of producing some larger hail from time to time. The wind will pick up from the south and southeast during the afternoon, and temperatures are expected to reach the mid 70s for most of the state, but some 80s are possible in the southwest.

Storm chances will taper off heading into Tuesday.
