{MANHATTAN, Ks.} — Former Kansas State standouts Tysyn Hartman and Ray Kibble have agreed to free agent deals with NFL clubs as of Thursday afternoon.
Hartman signed a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, while Kibble has agreed to terms with the Atlanta Falcons. Both signings have been announced by their respective organizations.
Hartman was a four-year letterman and All-Big 12 pick at safety who also was named a 2011 NFF National Scholar Athlete and Campbell Trophy finalist for his success both on the field and in the classroom, while Kibble earned All-Big 12 honors in 2011 after collecting 38 tackles, 5.5 for losses, and 2.0 sacks a year ago.
K-State, which currently has the second-longest active NFL Draft streak in the Big 12, has had at least one player selected for 19 straight years. Heading into 2012, the Wildcats return eight starters on offense, six on defense and both kickers from their 10-3 squad that advanced to the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic in 2011. The Wildcats will be led by All-America candidates Collin Klein (QB) and Arthur Brown (LB), while 2011 Walter Camp All-Americans Nigel Malone (DB) and Tyler Lockett (KR/WR) also return.
K-State opens the 2012 season September 1 with a home game against Missouri State.
