(WICHITA, Kan.) — Officers with Wichita and Sedgwick County handed out 13 citations and recovered a stolen vehicle during it's latest "Cops on Rails" operation Tuesday.
The Sheriff's Office, in conjuntion with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Wichita Police and the Kansas Highway Patrol, conducted the operation between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on Tuesday.
Of the 13 citations issued, nine were for violating railroad crossing statutes. Officers also recovered a vehicle that was reported stolen.
