(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police arrested two people who they say were involved in a robbery at a grocery store in east Wichita.  It happened just before 9:00 Tuesday morning.

Police tell us a teenager walked into the Central Food Mart on E. Central with a bandana over his face, he showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money.

As the suspect was leaving, the clerk tripped the alarm and chased after him. The suspect tried to get into a getaway car driven by a woman, but the clerk kept him from getting into the car.

The driver took off and the suspect fled on foot.

Police caught up with both at a home on N. Erie a short time later. Both were arrested.
