May 13, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

Quiet weather is expected for the start of the week and beyond as high pressure maintains a grip on the central US.

Skies will gradually clear overnight with lows near 50 and the winds will stay very light.

Light winds and sunshine should be expected for Monday as high pressure remains anchored over the area. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s with a mostly sunny sky.

Temperatures should get warmer on Tuesday with a light south wind and highs reaching the lower 80s.
