(WICHITA, Kan.) — Star Wars has arrived at Wichita’s Exploration Place. It’s the largest exhibit ever hosted by the museum with over 100 separate pieces of costumes, weapons and other memorabilia from the moves.
Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Yoda, Imperial Stormtroopers and C-3PO (let's not forget R2-D2) are on display, alongside for 80 pieces of props and customes used in all six films. There's also a five minute adventure on the Millennium Falcon. Visitors can climb into the cock pit of the famed spacecraft and go into warp speed.
The museum has add educational pieces comparing "Star Wars reality to today's reality", according to Exploration President Jan Luth.
"The exhibit is divided up into four sections," she explained. "Transportation, medical, living and robotics. In each of those sections, there's an opportunity to learn about the science as it relates to Star Wars."
