{DES MOINES, Ia.} — Wichita State junior Aliphine Tuliamuk took second place today in the 10,000 meter run at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships. Her time of 32:45:43 was just less than four seconds behind the winner, Texas A&M's Natosha Rogers.
Tuliamuk still has one event left to run and that is the 5,000 meters this Saturday.
Senior Brett Trudo took 11th in the javelin throw on Thursday afternoon while Lawson Montgomery and Todd McKown took 13th and 16th respectively in the 110 m hurdles.
Tonya Friesen is done with the first part of the heptathlon and she is currently sitting in 23rd place. J'Lynn Ledesma will compete in the high jump on Friday afternoon around 4:30.
