W. Kansas motorcyclist hospitalized after striking armadillo

(STAFFORD COUNTY, Kan.) — The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 32-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized Monday morning after a collision with an armadillo in the roadway.

KHP says it happened just west of the Stafford County town of Hudson around 7:30 this morning.

The driver was headed west on NE 100th Street and struck an armadillo in the roadway, causing him to lose control of the bike. 

He was rushed to Great Bend Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

No word on whether the armadillo survived the crash.

No other vehicles were involved.
