(RENO COUNTY, Kan.) — Firefighters in Reno County spent the early morning hours fighting a house fire at a historic home near the town of Sylvia.
The homeowner called 911 to report the fire in the 30,000 block of W. Red Rock Road around 2:45 Wednesday morning.
Emergency dispatchers tell us the fire was so intense, crews had to fight the flames from the outside.
They say the owners are currently remodeling the home and were not living in it at the time of the fire.
No word on a cause.
One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion at the scene.
