This time one year ago, Brad Keselowski was barely on anyone's radar. Sure he had two career NASCAR victories, but both were widely considered to be kind of a fluke. Fast forward a year, and Keselowski has won five times since, including three this season, the most recent this past weekend at Kentucky.
"I think you've got to go out and win races," said Keselowksi. "Luck stuff, everybody says luck stuff in races. If you go out and have good cars and win races and execute and do all those things, Tony proved that you'll win a championship. And that's what it's going to take."
It's also going to take a little more consistency from BK, despite having three wins, the number two team is only tenth in the points standings. But Keselowski feels ask if most of the teams are behind them.
"Tenth in points because we had the reliability issues early in the year," said Keselowski. "You take out our two or three reliability issues -- was it two or three? I can't remember what it was -- if you remove those, we're a legitimate top 5 team, and that's the way it's been all season long."
