(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita fire officials are investigating after fire causes around $60,000 damage to the playground at Woodman Elementary School this weekend.

Crews were called to the scene in the 2300 block of S. Hiram late Friday by an eyewitness.

Fire officials we spoke with say some of the playground equipment is made from recycled tires, which can be good fuel when ignited.

They are checking security footage to see if it offers more clues into what happened.

No one was hurt.
