You would think that Clint Bowyer would be sorry to see the month of June go. After all, the Kansas kid scored 191 points in the month of June - second only to Jimmie Johnson. He climbed from 12th in points up to seventh. He had an average finish of seventh in June and picked up his first win of the season.
"It's all about surrounding yourself with good people and we certainly have that. We have great partners, 5-hour ENERGY, Napa and Aaron's, my teammates, Martin Truex and Mark Martin, I'm telling you, everybody is working very, very good together with this group," said Bowyer.
But then, there is what to come in the month of July.
In the three racetracks that the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series visits in the month of July, which include Daytona, New Hampshire and Indianapolis, Bowyer has two wins, one pole, six top-fives and 12 top-10s.
NASCAR is off to Daytona this week. And while Bowyer is obviously a very accomplished SuperSpeedway racer, he has been more successful at Talladega, than Daytona. Bowyer is still looking for his first in of the season at Daytona, but he does have two top-five and six top-10 finishes.
