No big surprise...the heat rolls on for this Fourth of July! Plenty of sunshine is forecast again, with a few clouds popping up over southcentral and southeast Kansas. Highs this afternoon will be around 100 degrees, with gusty winds. Because of the heat, wind and dry conditions, you'll want to take extra care with any fireworks.
Speaking of which, the weather conditions will be spectacular for fireworks tonight in Wichita. There may be an isolated storm in northwest Kansas but the rest of the area will stay warm and dry.
The heat will persist through the weekend.
