A semi truck driver is rushed to a Wichita hospital after crashing his truck at a highway exit.
It happened at the West St. exit of K-96 shortly after two o'clock Sunday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the semi left the road, traveled through the grass and up and embankment, and went airborne onto West street before again leaving the road and crashing into a pair of chain link fences.
The driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers at the scene say alcohol was not involved in the accident, nor any other vehicles. They say it appears to be a case of driver error.
