HAYS, Kansas — RPM Speedway in Hays will play host to a pair of Sprint Cup series drivers on August 7th. Kansas native Clint Bowyer and part-time cup driver Ken Schrader will race in the "Modified Mania" event at the the dirt track on that Tuesday.
Both Bowyer and Schader have deep roots racing on midwest dirt tracks and both have extensive experience driving dirt mortifieds. Before making his move to NASCAR, Bowyer won a modified championship in 2001.
The event will draw drivers from several states and is a IMCA sanctioned event.
Gates will open for the event at 4:30pm, hot laps will be at 6:00pm and racing begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $25 for pit passes.
