Another hot day is on the way Friday as afternoon highs once again soar into the mid-90s across the west and to around 100 over central and eastern Kansas.
A few isolated storms will pass through far eastern Kansas Friday afternoon but they do develop, they'll fade quickly with the setting sun, possibly sooner.
The hot weather is expected to expand and intensify this weekend state and region-wide, with highs around 100 degrees.
Our area will be dry through most of next week as a sprawling area of upper-level high pressure takes a firm grip on the Nation's mid-section. High temperatures will remain in the 100 to 105 range through most of the week so get set to sizzle again for several days to come.
