Storm Team 12: Hot week coming up

Related Links;

July 15, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

The weather won't change much this week as hot and dry weather continues for the area.

A few scattered clouds should be expected overnight with lows in the upper 60s and low 70s. South winds should be less than 15 mph.

Higher levels of humidity should be expected for central and eastern Kansas on Monday, which may actually help to keep highs from hitting 100. However, it will still be uncomfortable and dangerous for those exposed to the heat for prolonged periods of time. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s for much of the state with a partly cloudy sky and a south breeze for the afternoon.

The heat continues for the rest of the week with highs near 100 from Tuesday - Saturday.
