(ABILENE, Kan.) — Abilene police chief Mark Heimer has confirmed to Eyewitness News that his office is investigating allegations of sexual misconduct with a child by a former Dickinson County Sheriff's Deputy.
Since no arrest has been made and no charges are filed, he is not releasing the former deputy's name.
Heimer says his office is waitingt for evidence that was submitted tfor analysis by the KBI lab.
He expects that to take at least a couple of weeks.
