(HUTCHINSON, Kan.) — Six people were taken to the hospital after a gas line break in Hutchinson, Kan. A backhoe struck a gasoline line near the 600 block of Blanchard Ave Tuesday morning.

Winds pushed the fumes toward the Mennonite Friendship Communities. Several employees complained of headaches, coughs, and eye irritation. One person was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. Five others were taken by a private car.

All six patients have been treated and released from the hospital.
