Wichita bowler, Katie Verbil, breaks national record with 879 series

(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita bowler Katie Verbil is celebrating a national record and a near perfect series.

Verbil shot an 879 series at West Acres Bowl Wednesday night. Her games were 300-300-279.

“I can’t even put it into words…I still don’t believe it happened,” Verbil, a former Wichita State bowler, tells Eyewitness News.
