July 26, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

Although much of Kansas missed out on the heavier rains, we won't be missing out on the 100s as we head into the weekend.

A quiet night is anticipated for Kansas with clear or mostly clear skies and comfortable lows in the west. Overnight temperatures will be in the low 60s for the far west, but closer to 70 in central and eastern Kansas.

Light winds and slightly hotter temperatures are in store for Friday with mostly sunny skies regionwide. And it will get hotter this weekend with highs above 100 and for much of the area, conditions will be dry.
