Storm Team 12: More record heat possible

Related Links;

July 28, 2012|By Meteorologist Rodney Price | Storm Team 12

Look for a few storms in northern Kansas this evening.   Elsewhere, another very balmy night is forecast as lows in most areas will drop down into the 70s.

More heat is expected on Sunday.  A Heat Advisory continues for eastern Kansas until late in the day as the afternoon highs will top out around 105 to 110 degrees!  Record highs are certainly possible for a few locations, including Wichita and Salina.  Please remember to take it easy Sunday afternoon if you plan to spend any extended amount of time outdoors.

A few more storms are possible in northern Kansas late tomorrow afternoon and into the evening otherwise a mostly dry forecast looms.

We can expect the heat to roll on though most of next week as highs generally stay in the 100-105 range. Other than a slight chance of a few storms across northern sections of our state Monday, expect the severe drought conditions to continue with no significant rain in sight next week.
