(WICHITA, Kan.) — There are three ways to renew your car tags, take a trip to the county treasurer, renew by mail, or renew on-line. Now, one of those is even more convenient.

For the next 12 months, starting in August, the state decided to waive processing fees when you renew your vehicle tags on-line. The state hopes the move will encourage more Kansans to hop on-line and take advantage of renewing from home.

The on-line renewal option is available to anyone who has a their current address on their renewal, and has their vehicle registered in Kansas.

The on-line service requires a personal identification number. You can find that number on the renewal notice in the mail.

Once you receive your PIN head over to the renewal website by clicking here.
