(WICHITA, Kan.) — A man is found hiding in a field after shooting at an off-duty officer.
It started when the man was coming home from work on I-235 near south Meridian, the off-duty officer noticed him driving erratically while listening to loud music and called 911.
That's when investigators say the suspect fired a single shot and drove off.
Police caught up to him a while later in Haysville. They say they found him hiding in a field and arrested him without any trouble.
No one was hurt.
