(WICHITA, Kan.) — Wichita police arrest a man after a shooting that left two people hurt. It happened in the parking lot of a popular steak house on S. Broadway.
Wichita Police Lt. Scott Heimerman said a man noticed a car that belonged to him in the parking lot of the restaurant and confronted the people inside.
Turns out, a family member loaned the car out without letting the owner know.
Police say, when he confronted the two people in his car, they started arguing and at one point, the suspect pulled out a gun fired several shots into the vehicle.
A 36-year-old was struck by a bullet in the face and rushed to the hospital in critical condition, though doctors determined that wound was more superficial and not life-threatening.
A 55-year-old was also struck by bullet fragments and needed treatment.
Police say, during the situation, the suspect pointed the gun at another person who was calling 911.
