Clouds and spotty sprinkles or showers out there on this Thursday afternoon will slowly thin out leaving behind mostly sunny skies. Another hot day is on the way with highs back above 100 for most areas except over the northwest where highs will only be in the mid-90s.
More storms may develop Thursday night in southern Kansas but most of the area will be dry into Friday. An approaching cold front Saturday will bring better storm chances back to our area this weekend, especially Saturday.
The sprawling area of upper-level high pressure that's brought us so many triple-digit days, will not drift that far away from the Plains and return early next week so don't look for any dramatic changes in our weather anytime soon.
