Storm Team 12: Some heat, some rain

August 05, 2012|By Meteorologist Ross Janssen | Storm Team 12

Dry weather is expected for Kansas overnight as the temperatures drop into the upper 50s and low 60s. It should be comfortable as the humidity is expected to stay very low.

Although our temperatures will heat back up on Monday, much of the state should come in just under 100 with mostly sunny skies. The wind will be out of the south or southeast for much of the day (speeds under 20 mph)

It will be hot again on Tuesday, but as a weak area of low pressure slides into the area from the northwest, scattered showers and storms will return to the area Tuesday evening and into the overnight hours. The activity will likely remain scattered with some areas getting missed altogether.
