Essa Mutaz Barshim of Qatar, Robert Grabaarz of Britain and Derek Drouin of Canada will share the Bronze Medal.

The 6'4" Kynard qualified for the Olympics after a second-place finish at the US Olympic Trials last month in Eugene, Oregon.  He was also the 2012 NCAA Champion in the High Jump.

Jamie Nieto of the USA finished in 6th with a jump of 2.29 meters, and Jesse Williams tied for 9th with a 2.25m.

Kynard and Nieto are both coached by KSU track coach Cliff Roveto.
