Much of Kansas will have a chance for showers and storms through the overnight and into Wednesday. Although the activity will likely remain scattered, some of the heavier storms will be capable of gusty winds to 50 mph and some locally heavy rainfall.
Expect lows to drop into the mid 60s west/mid 70s central and east. Light winds are expected around the area, unless you are close to thunderstorms.
Scattered showers and a few storms are possible for central and eastern Kansas Wednesday morning, but during the afternoon, rain chances will end as sunshine becomes more abundant. Highs will be in the 90s around the state with north winds for western Kansas and light east winds elsewhere.
The rain chances for the rest of the week are very slim, but temperatures are expected to cool back down by Friday and Saturday.
