Storm Team 12: A little less heat

August 08, 2012|By Meteorologist Rodney Price | Storm Team 12

Any isolated evening storms east of Wichita will fade away with the loss of daytime heating.  We expect clear to mostly clear skies overnight with mild lows in the 70s for southcentral and southeast Kansas.  Elsewhere, look for 60s, with even upper 50s in northwest Kansas by Thursday morning.

Plenty of sunshine will be the rule on Thursday but thankfully less heat is forecast.  Look for statewide highs in the 90s tomorrow afternoon.

Friday looks to continue the slight downward trend to the highs as we top out in the lower 90s.  Upper 80s to lower 90s are expected this weekend with some slight storm chances, most likely in the late-day and evening hours.
