Two killed in Dickinson County crash

(DICKINSON COUNTY, Kan.) — Two people were killed in a crash along Highway 56 in Dickinson County Friday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a driver went across the center line and collided with a pickup south of Herrington.

Twenty-year-old Amber Alfred of Junction City and 2-year-old Josiah Alfred died in the crash. Both were passengers in the car.

Two other people, including the driver of the car, were flown to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in Wichita.

Paramedics took four other people to Herrington Hospital.
