Storm Team 12: Isolated storms; sizzling Sunday

Related Links;

August 11, 2012|By Meteorologist Rodney Price | Storm Team 12

A few showers and storms in the west overnight will work eastward, with the better chances of rain along and north of I-70.  Lows will drop to the 60s and 70s for most areas, while the far northwest drops to the upper 50s.

Morning clouds and showers in eastern Kansas will quickly move out of the picture by midday Sunday, leaving us with plenty of sunshine.  A southward moving cold front will keep the northwest part of Kansas in the lower 90s.  South of the front though, it should be a very warm day with highs in the upper 90s to near the century mark over southcentral Kansas.

The first half of the work week will be in the 90s, with a cooling trend for the latter half of the week.  As far as rain chances are concerned, we'll see a chance late Tuesday but a better chance late Wednesday and Thursday.
