Unseasonably cool air continues to filter south across Kansas, and could result in some near record low temperatures for Friday morning.
The chance for evening storms will be ending in southcentral Kansas, but the clouds will be hanging around through the night. A few showers may develop in northwest Kansas after midnight, but it will be very light. Lows will dip down into the mid and upper 50s, which will threaten records in many parts of the state.
Scattered rain showers are possible Friday throughout central and western Kansas. The activity will not be widespread, but the cooler temperatures will be. Highs will stay in the upper 70s for western and northern Kansas, with low 80s possible near the Kansas/Oklahoma line. The wind is expected to be under 20 mph for much of the state.
A few rain showers will still be possible Friday night and Saturday. Temperatures throughout the weekend will stay in the lower half of the 80s.
