(WICHITA, Kan.) — The man accused of firing a shot inside a Wichita clothing store appears back in court. Friday, Jake Jacobs had a bond reduction hearing. Instead of ruling on the bond, the judge delayed the hearing for two weeks so Jacobs can undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Jacobs is charged with four counts of aggravated battery. Police say he fired a shot at a security guard at the east side Burlington Coat Factory Monday morning. Investigators say he was upset after being confronted about not paying for a soda. No one was hurt.
Jacobs is currently held on $100,000 bond. He's expected back in court August 29th.
