The front that slid across Kansas Thursday ushered in some of the coolest temperatures we've seen in a long time Friday morning with record lows reported several locations as mercury dipped into the upper-40s and lower-50s.
The comfortable air is expected to stick around through this weekend with partly sunny skies Friday and more clouds than sun Saturday.
Afternoon highs Friday will only climb into the upper-70s over western and northern Kansas with low to mid-80s elsewhere. Wind speeds should to be under 15 mph for most of the state.
Look for widely scattered showers to move in late Friday night then spread into central Kansas Saturday however the foturnate few who do get wet will probably not see more than 0.50" inches of rainfall.
