Wichita police union vote down contract

August 20, 2012|by Kim Wilhelm

(WICHITA, Kan.) — The Wichita police union has voted down a contract offer by the City of Wichita.  The police union's prior contract expired in December 2010.

Members have been working under the previous contract since that time.  No details of the latest offer have been made public.

The union and city officials declined comment on the situation.  Both will likely head back to the bargaining table.
