(TAMPA, Florida) — CBS News will provide complete and comprehensive coverage of both the Republican and Democratic National Cenventions.
The Republican National Convention will take place August 27-30 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida.
The Democratic National Convention takes place Sept. 3-6 in Charlotte, North Carolina at Time Warner Cable Arena.
On-Air Coverage
The "CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley," "CBS News This Morning" and "Face the Nation" will broadcast from both conventions.
CBS News will provide live, primetime coverage Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights at each convention beginning at nine o'clock Central Time.
Scott Pelley will be Bob Schieffer and Norah O’Donnell. Additionally, CBS News Correspondent Bill Whitaker will report from the convention floor in Tampa; CBS News Chief National Correspondent Byron Pitts will report from the convention floor in Charlotte; CBS News Political and Chief Legal Correspondent Jan Crawford will travel to Tampa with GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney; and Congressional Correspondent Nancy Cordes will travel to Charlotte with President Barack Obama. CBS News Senior White House Correspondent Bill Plante and CBS News Political Director John Dickerson will contribute to the coverage.
