The wind will go down overnight, but south winds will return for Wednesday, bringing back some milder weather for the remainder of the week.

Overnight lows will dip down into the upper teens for many locations with clear skies around the state.

Highs Wednesday will reach the 50s for southwest Kansas, but much of central and eastern Kansas will have highs in the mid 40s. Skies will turn mostly sunny during the afternoon. South winds will be gusty across much of western Kansas.

Thursday looks windy for much of the state. Temperatures are expected to hit 60 for central and western Kansas, but in northern Kansas, upper 50s are in the forecast.
