(EMPORIA, Kan.) — The Twinkie could soon be back on store shelves after a Kansas bakery reopened under new ownership.
Apollo Global Management, Hostess, City of Emporia officials and Gov. Sam Brownback held a ribbon cutting ceremony to reopen the Dolly Madison bakery in Emporia Thursday.
The bakery will begin producing a full assortment of Hostess' iconic snack products such as Twinkies, Cup Cakes, Ho Hos and Ding Dongs later this summer. Hostess plans to initially create 250 full-time jobs, and plans to create a total of more than 300 jobs in the future.
