An accident at 83rd Street South and Hillside in Sedgwick County leaves one person in critical condition. Police authorities say the 60 year-old driver had a medical emergency and that led to the crash Tuesday afternoon. Paramedics took him to St. Joseph Hospital. His name has not been released.

A Wichita man is recovering after accidentally shooting himself with a nail gun.  It happened in the 1900 block of N. Salina Tuesday. Police are treating the case as a home construction accident. The man is expected to be okay.

Several vehicles were involved in an accident that brought traffic to a halt Saturday evening. It happened in the eastbound lanes of Kellogg near the turnpike exit around 5:35 p.m. It is unknown how the accident occurred, but three cars were damaged in the crash. Three people also received minor injuries. One of the victims was a little boy that was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Authorities diverted traffic on Rock Road for about an hour while crews cleared the scene.

An Arkansas City man is killed after an accident in Cowley County Sunday. It happened right around midnight just southeast of Arkansas City. Authorities say49-year-old  Bret Clark was southbound in a grass field when he lost control of his jeep and rolled. Clark was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to an Ark City hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 24-year-old man dies in an overnight accident.  It happened just after 2 A.M. northwest of Sublette. The Kansas Highway Patrol says a vehicle broke down and was blacked out in the middle of the road. Another vehicle responding to help crashed into the stalled out car. Eugene Chaffin of Sublette died.  The driver of the other vehicle was taken to an area hospital.

Two women are taken to the hospital after and accident on east bound Kellogg. The car went off the road and down the embankment. It stopped after hitting a pole. One woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, the other in serious condition. Expect more updates on kwch.com as we get them.

A motorcycle rider is dead after an injury accident in south Wichita. The accident was shortly after midnight Tuesday morning near the intersection of Southwest Boulevard and May. Police say 51 year-old Terry Dishon was headed south on Southwest Boulevard, and the semi was turning left onto it from May and collided with Dishon. Dishon was pronounced dead at the scene. Police aren't sure who is at fault.   The 60 year-old truck driver wasn't hurt.
