A teenager was rushed to a Wichita hospital after a rollover accident southeast of Mulvane. It happened near K-15 and Greenwich Rd. around 5:15 p.m. Saturday. The Sumner County Sheriff's office said a 19-year-old man was driving south on K-15, when he tried to pass in the right lane. He lost control of his vehicle, went into the ditch and hit a tree line. The impact threw the teenager from the car. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries.

One person dies after a deadly accident in Norton County just after midnight Sunday. The Kansas Highway Patrol says two people were in a car in Almena when the driver lost control. Their vehicle left the roadway, hit a sign and landed in a creek bottom. It rolled then came to a rest after colliding with a railroad bridge. The car then caught fire. Passenger Christopher Hall was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was air-lifted to a hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. It's not known if the two were wearing their seatbelts.

Two men were flown to the hospital after they crashed their ATV. Authorities in Butler County were called to Northeast 90th and Stony Creek road around 3:30 Saturday afternoon. Two helicopters flew the men to Wesley hospital in Wichita. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Slick roads led to a car accident in Valley Center Thursday.  Police say a man lost control on the ice at Meridian and Sheridan.  He hit an oncoming pick up truck. The SUV driver went to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.  Three others suffered minor injuries in the accident.

A skydiver was hurt in southeast Wichita this afternoon, after landing hard and hitting his head. He landed in a field in the 7000 block of South 143rd Street Saturday afternoon. Sedgwick County deputies say he was skydiving with three other people. They turned into the wind to land, but the man did not. He snagged his parachute on a tree and fell at least 20 feet. The man was flown to the hospital with critical injuries, but he is expected to be okay.

A 15-year-old Garden Plain teen is in the hospital after crashing his bicycle.  He was airlifted around five o'clock Friday.   The Garden Plain police officer says the boy was riding his bike when the pedal fell off.  He says the teen put his foot down to stop the bike when he lost control and fell. He hit his head in the process. A person driving by saw the teen laying in the road and called for help.

She is a picture of happiness. "Her nickname was smiles because she had the biggest smile ever," Jared Estes says.  That smile is one of the things that attracted Jared Estes to Paige Johnson when they were in high school in Bucklin. "She had so many nicknames," Jared says, "Blueeyes was one of them, because she had really bright blue eyes. " Now the only way Jared can look into his wife's beautiful blue eyes, is through pictures.  Paige is gone, killed by drunk driver in a fiery accident on Kellogg almost a year and a half ago. "So have that ripped away, to have her ripped out, the world is just crazy.

One person is now in good condition after a rollover crash south of Wichita late Sunday.  Emergency crews were called to 79th Street South and Hillside around 9:30 Sunday evening. Officials at the scene tell us the driver didn't slow down at a curve.  He rolled his pickup, which landed on top of him. The 32-year-old driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but was upgraded.  No one else was hurt.

Rollover accidents have more than doubled in Kansas since 1998. Law enforcement say the increase has happened since people started using cell phones while driving. Take a look at some these numbers.   In 1998 more than 1,800 rollover accidents happened in Kansas. In 2003, when people started using cell phones rollover accidents increased to about 4,300. And the most recent numbers from 2008 show an average of 4,100 rollovers a year. Wichita Police Department Lt. Joe Schroeder will tell you electronic devices are increasingly to blame for car accidents.

A 24-year-old man dies in an overnight accident.  It happened just after 2 A.M. northwest of Sublette. The Kansas Highway Patrol says a vehicle broke down and was blacked out in the middle of the road. Another vehicle responding to help crashed into the stalled out car. Eugene Chaffin of Sublette died.  The driver of the other vehicle was taken to an area hospital.
