The February Revenge Tour for KU ended on Saturday at home against TCU. The Jayhawks tried as hard as they could to get rid of the memories of an inexplicable loss to the Horned Frogs two weeks ago, by completely crushing TCU 73-48 at Allen Fieldhouse. KU (23-4) held TCU to nine points in the first half. Ben McLemore outscored the entire team with 10 points, capped off with a thunderous dunk on the baseline. The 17th ranked Kansas Jayhawks (8-3) will host the Howard Bison (4-9) on Thursday night at Allen Fieldhouse.  It's the Jayhawks' first home game since their October 10th victory against then 2nd-ranked Ohio State. Kansas is coming off a 63-47 victory on the road at U.S.C.  Coach Bill Self was happy for the victory but also said his team played with a serious lack of energy. The Jayhawks were ranked in the top 15 before they lost to Davidson at the Sprint Center on December 19th.  Kansas is struggling from the three-point line this season, shooting just about 35% in their first 11 games.  However, they are still averaging close to 75 points per game and are nearly 50 percent shooting from the field.

There's a huge game coming up for the Kansas Jayhawks, but it's not the game against Ohio State. Tuesday night Kansas will host Long Beach State as a part of a 5-game homestand for KU.  It's a game that the Jayhawks won't look past especially considering the 49'ers defeated then 6th-ranked Pittsburgh and narrowly lost to then 7th-ranked Louisville.  LBSU is currently 4-3 and are picked to win the Big West Conference this year....

After years of offers, KU Basketball may finally play a game in Wichita.  But that doesn't have Shocker fans expecting a showdown. The Jayhawks could play a game at INTRUST bank arena in December, against The University of Southern California Trojans. The teams first met in 2010, and KU beat USC 70-68 in Allen Fieldhouse.  It is USC's turn to host,  but it's venue holds almost 5,000 fewer people than the 15,000 seat Intrust Bank Arena. Shocker fans said they would rather see the hometown team take on KU, instead of a West Coast team.  "It's like, they're snubbing us," said WSU fan Martha Cable.  "It's like, we don't know you guys are there, so we're bringing in another team.

If you've been to any college basketball game, you've no doubt heard the pep band. But likely you've never paid attention to the members of the band, unless you have a connection. But if you've looked at KU's pep band, there is always a white hat bobbing up and down to the beat that he is pounding out. The white KU hat belongs to senior math education major Chris Carter, the energetic, drumming leader of the band. "I start it and the band kicks in, that way the music is a seemless flow," Carter said.

I wonder how many people in Manhattan were calling a charge of Elijah Johnson's last drive of regulation last night at Iowa State. Self the gamesman-- Bill Self went off early on lead official Mark Whitehead last night, drawing a technical just over 2:00 in on a play that didn't seem worth it.  It was to Self, who got more than his fair share of the calls the rest of the night.  I'm not saying he orchestrated the call, but with Iowa State...
