A quiet weekend for holiday shopping and traveling across Kansas. A few high clouds today, otherwise sunshine and warmer temperatures. The only complaint might be the gusty south winds. Afternoon temperatures will be warmer today, ranging from the 50s in eastern Kansas to near 70 out west. Overnight lows in the 20s and 30s. Another cold front will move across the state on Sunday. Temperatures will not change too much for Sunday as the colder air is lagging over the northern plains. The colder air is expected to move into the state on Monday and Tuesday.

The cold front that made its way through our region Thanksgiving Day has ushered in much colder temps carried on northerly winds. We can say see ya to the spring-like 70s and hello to more fall-like 40s and 50s Friday under sunny skies. The rest of our holiday weekend should be mostly sunny, dry and a little warmer. Look for gusty southerly winds Saturday with afternoon highs in the mid to upper-50s. Sunday we should have lighter winds and slightly warmer temps as highs top out in the lower-60s.
