An argument in north Wichita ends in a cutting and someone going to the hospital. It happened in the 1400 block of North Kansas around 6pm Sunday evening. Officers say two women got into a fight, one of them ended up getting stabbed. That person was taken to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. The other was arrested and questioned by police.

An argument late Friday night leads to a stabbing where a man is critically injured. It happened around 11pm in the 2400 block of South Capri which is near east Pawnee Street. Police say a woman's boyfriend got upset about something and cut another man. That man was taken to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. No arrest has been made.

A teenager is shot while sitting in his car. It happened just before one o'clock Sunday morning in the 2600 block of N. Piatt. The 19-year-old victim told police he was shot when he was arguing with the suspect about driving too fast down the street. Three others were in the car at the time, but they were not hurt. The 29-year-old suspect was arrested.

An argument leads to a Wichita man stabbed with a piece of wood. The stabbing happened in the 300 block of North Edwards around 2:30 a.m. Police say two men were arguing when one pulled out a gun and fired. The other man tried to defend himself and found the wood piece, stabbing the man with the gun. Police say the 34-year-old man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital.  He's expected to be okay.

Wichita police are looking for a teenager who shot a dog early Monday morning in the 1000 block of N. Mathewson. A 46-year-old man was with an 18-year-old acquaintance earlier in the evening. The two got into an argument and the younger man left, but said he would be back later. Police tell us the teenager returned around 2:15 Monday morning and started yelling at the 46-year-old who was inside the house. The man came out onto his porch and found the teenager and another man on the other side of a chain link fence.

An argument over a roofing job leads a man to beat his son with a shovel.  Wichita police say the domestic dispute started Monday morning in the 500 block of west 51st street south. They say a 47-year-old and 27-year-old got into a fight over a roofing job they were working together.  The father became angry, picked up a shovel and started hitting his son's truck with it.  Then the father hit his son over the head with the handle of the shovel. The son had to go to the hospital for stitches.  The father was arrested for aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

Update: Wichita police have identified the victim from this weekend's deadly shooting as 20-year-old Malaki Washington. Washington was shot in the stomach early Sunday morning and died at the hospital three hours later. Police arrested Washington's 23-year-old brother in connection with the shooting. Police say the two were arguing outside, started fighting and wrestling over the gun.  The victim originally had the gun, but it was taken away by the suspect then used against him. The suspect was booked for on one count of Second Degree Murder.

A man is in a Wichita hospital, his neighbor is in jail. Police say the two got into a fight just after six Wednesday evening. Both men live in the 600 block of N. Topeka. Investigators say one man stabbed his 46-year-old neighbor in the abdomen. Paramedics took him to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in critical condition. Officers took the neighbor into custody. Police say the two have a history of arguments.

Wichita police say an argument escalated into a shooting Thursday evening.  It happened around 6:50 in the 1200 block of N. Lewellen. Police say four people (ages 14-37 years old) were in their front yard when a pickup showed up with four men inside.  Words were exchanged and the victims grabbed bats and sticks. Someone inside truck pulls out a gun and shoots at them, hitting a 19-year-old man in his right thigh. Cops believe victims and suspects are members of rival gangs.

A dispute over piercing needles leads to shots fired in Garden City. Tuesday, Garden City Police learned about an incident at Prick the Skin Body Piercing and Tattoo shop. Police say two men who work there got into an argument about stolen piercing needles. During the argument, police say one man threatened the other with a gun, and fired a round. That round hit a chair and then went in the wall. Police say the man with the gun refused to let the other man leave. The victim fled when the other man got distracted by something else going on at the business.

Wichita Police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the eye. Authorities were notified after a 25-year-old man walked into Wesley Medical Center for treatment early Friday evening. The man told police his 25-year-old girlfriend stabbed him with a knife during an argument. Police went to the scene in the 3100 block of E. Ethel to search for the woman. She was not in the home. The man is expected to be okay, but it is unknown how badly his eye was damaged.

Police in Salina are looking for 22-year-old Armani A. Ramos in connection with a double-shooting early Monday morning.  The shooting happened in the 300 block of S. Ohio just between three and four o'clock Monday morning.  Police were called to the home and found a woman in her early 20s with a gunshot wound to the arm.  She was taken to the hospital for treatment. While police were at the hospital, a 23-year-old man showed up in the ER with a gunshot wound.  Police believe Ramos fired one shot that went through the woman's arm and lodged into the man's leg.  Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The funeral for 8-year-old Kimbra Moore is today in Wichita.  Kimbra was killed early Tuesday morning by a stray bullet while she slept. Investigators say the shots were fired during an argument at the mobile home park where she lived with her family.  Police are still looking for a motive behind the argument that prompted gun fire.  Two people have been arrested in connection with her death. Charges could be filed today against them.  A 24-year-old man was arrested as the gunman.  He faces charges of of felony murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and shooting at an occupied dwelling.  A 28-year-old woman was arrested for aiding in the crime.  Kimbra's church has set up a memorial fund in her honor.

The leader of a commune believed to have been living off the life insurance payouts of its dead members will learn next week if there's enough evidence for him to stand trial. Daniel Perez, who also goes by Lou Castro, faces two separate cases. In the first case, he's accused of first degree murder in the 2003 death of Patricia Hughes along with dozens of other charges including rape and sodomy and making false statements on life insurance claims. The second case centers around one count of sexual exploitation of a child.

The defense has rested its case in the trial against Adam Longoria.  The judge sent the jury home for the day.  Court is expected to resume Friday morning at 9:00 am for closing arguments. Longoria is accused of killing 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt in August 2010.  DeBolt's body was found badly burned at the asphalt plant where Longoria worked. Thursday morning, the defense called several witnesses aimed to poke holes in the prosecution's case. One woman testified, she was driving past the Venture Asphalt Plant (where Alicia DeBolt's body was found)
