A 24 year-old man is arrested after authorities find 36 pounds of marijuana-laced candy bars in his vehicle. Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol pulled over the 2001 Mercedes E320 Monday near Kearney, Nebraska for driving on the shoulder. A drug dog indicated a marijuana odor in the rear of the vehicle. The Victoria Police Department and the Ellis County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help finding a man who went missing earlier this week. Michael Louis Gerhard was last seen just before noon on March 22. Gerhard is 43 years old with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities in Barton County are looking for an 11-year-old child. Ryan Durland was last seen in the Twin Lakes area in Great Bend, Kansas at around 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Authorities describe him as being 4'8" and possibly 90 pounds, with sandy blonde hair, wearing an orange and white shirt, blue jeans and yellow croc shoes. He is autistic. Three women are wanted in connection to a string of recent burglaries in Sedgwick County. Authorities are wanting to question the women for several crimes that occurred March 19. The sheriff's department is also looking for a 2000 or 2001 silver, Toyota Camry 4-door with rear spoiler. The goal was simple: To get guns out of the hands of convicted felons and prevent them from being used in crimes. The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Thursday that charges had been filed against 67 people following a large multi-agency investigation in Wichita. "Today, Wichita, Kansas is a safer city," declared U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom, flanked by other local and federal law enforcement officers. Wednesday morning, officers hit the streets to begin making arrests in the 11 month long undercover operation. So far, 55 people have been taken into custody, Grissom said.

More than two dozen cars in Finney County are scratched with graffiti, and deputies want to find the suspects. The Finney County Sheriff's Department says vandals recently marked more than 29 vehicles. It happened in the Towns Riverview Drive area, an area investigators say they've responded to crimes like this before. Investigators from the sheriff's department say the graffiti is gang related. They urge people to be aware of what is happening in their neighborhood. "If they are aware of activity where there is a suspect, they should certainly call law enforcement and let us know, this can be checked out, especially an area of high occurrence rates, as we have in this area," said undersheriff John Andrews.

Update: Authorities in Harvey County have identified the suspects they believe are responsible for several burglaries in the southeastern part of the county. A convicted murderer is still on the run. As of Wednesday morning, Saline County authorities still don't know where Antonio Brown Sr. is located. They've searched for him since Monday afternoon. Around 4:15 Monday, Brown walked away from the Saline County Jail. Authorities had just transported him to Saline County to be sentenced for the death of Salina toddler Clayden Urbanek. Eyewitness News asked Sheriff Glen Kochanowski how Brown was able to just walk away. The sheriff says Brown and two other inmates were in a holding cell. He says somehow the door to the holding cell was unlocked. Brown walked out the door and into a sally port, which is a secure entryway. Click here to see photos inside the Saline Co. jail The sheriff says once in the sally port, Brown walked alongside a car leaving the building. Once outside, he walked away from the jail. Ten minutes passed before anyone noticed. "Something happened to keep that door opened. We are looking at various different people who were working yesterday to see what happened and why it happened," Sheriff Kochanowski said.

Wichita authorities are considering criminal charges after finding 31 dead catsin a home last weekend. Police say a 69-year-old woman lived at the residence and claimed ownership of the cats. She told police she was staying at a friend's house, but was checking on the animals. Police say she may have violated Kansas cruelty to animals law for abandoning the pets. "Basically what she told investigators on the site that day is that she had been coming by daily to check on the animals. She was unaware we had any problem.
