Police in Oklahoma found a missing El Dorado man. Authorities say 80-year-old Donald Brickley disappeared Saturday morning. His family said he left his home on Bluestem road in a pick-up truck. Brickley suffers from dementia. He was found in Oklahoma around 3:30 Saturday afternoon.

The Kansas Juvenile Justice Authority looks at trends involving minorities in the department's custody. The JJA is holding meetings about part in a statewide assessment. One of those meetings happened Wednesday in Garden City. Officials are trying to find what minority youths are being over-represented in the juvenile justice system. Kansas identified law enforcement, detention and case management placements as the three priorities to be examined in the evaluation. "As a system and as a community we want to make sure that our response to juvenile delinquency is based on the offense and it's based on the needs of the juvenile and not based on the color of their skin," said Elizabeth Neeley, a sociologist involved in the process.

Update: Authorities in Harvey County have identified the suspects they believe are responsible for several burglaries in the southeastern part of the county. Investigators with the sheriff's office say they plan to release more information soon. ----------------- Original Story, November 29 The Harvey County Sheriff's Department is asking for help after burglars ransack several homes in the middle of the day. Five burglaries this week and it doesn't surprise Harvey County Undersheriff Todd Hanchett.

A missing 82-year-old woman has been found safe at a local homeless shelter. Wichita police asked for the public's help late Tuesday in finding Joy Nutter. She had been last seen at six o'clock on Monday, Dec. 3 in the area of 200 N. Rock Road. Authorities said Nutter has mild dementia.

Authorities say no one was seriously hurt when two buses from the Goddard School District (USD 265) collided. The crash happened around 4:15 Thursday afternoon at 167th West and Maple. There were about 50 students on the buses when one of them read-ended the other. Several students suffered bumps and bruises but none went to the hospital. The district contacted parents to pick up their children. The buses were from Apollo Elementary, located on the Eisenhower campus. School buses collide near Goddard.

An inmate who walked away from a work detail assignment is back in custody. Authorities were looking for Juan Marquez who left his job at the Collins Bus Company. He walked away Tuesday afternoon. Authorities captured him a short time later. Marquez is serving time at Hutchinson Correctional Facility on several burglary and theft charges.

The FBI has confirmed that a body found in Colorado is that of 10-year old Jessica Ridgeway. The 5th grader disappeared October 5th, she never showed up at school. Investigators are still looking for the person who killed her. "Our focus has changed from the search for Jessica to a mission of justice for Jessica," Westminster Police Chief Lee Birk said. "We realize there is a predator at large in our community. " Ridgeway's great grandmother lives in Wichita. She's been in constant contact with relatives in Colorado waiting for new details on the case.

Rice County authorities are searching for a man they say robbed a bank in Chase. The robbery took place Tuesday morning at the First Bank, 509 Main Street. The Kansas Highway Patrol says it is launching a plane to help look for the suspect vehicle, described as a green late-90s Ford Explorer. Police are looking for a black male in his mid-30s. He was around 6'5" tall and had dreadlocks. He was wearing a long coat. Authorities say the man showed a weapon to clerks and demanded money. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A Reno County man drove into a home in the 14300 block of East 82nd street. Henry Zelenka, of Hutchinson, Kan. was driving on 82nd street when he became ill. Witnesses say the SUV drove off the road, into a ditch, and then struck the back of a home. He was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. Authorities say the home sustained extensive damage

Authorities in Reno County believe alcohol may have been a factor in an early morning crash that sent one person to the hospital. It happened around 2:00 Wednesday morning. Authorities tell us the 36-year-old driver from Haven was headed east on Red Rock Road near Mayfield Road whens he swerved to miss something in the road and rolled her 2003 Chevy Suburban into a ditch. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, but her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
